Wimbledon 2019: Simona Halep a surclasat-o pe Serena Williams în finală cu 6-2, 6-2 și este prima jucătoare de tenis din România câștigătoare a trofeului la Wimbledon. Acesta reprezintă al doilea titlu de Grand Slam cucerit de Simona Halep după cel obținut la Roland Garros 2018, din cinci finale de Mare Șlem disputate în carieră.
”Nu am jucat niciodată mai bine. A fost cel mai bun meci făcut de mine. Nu am cuvinte să explic ceea ce simt. Am avut multe emoții înaintea meciului, dar am știut că nu e timp de așa ceva și am intrat pe teren și am dat tot ce am avut mai bun. Este ceva incredibil. Este visul mamei mele. Mi-a zis că dacă vreau să fac ceva în tenis trebuie să joc o finală la Wimbledon. Mulțumesc mult mamă. A fost una dintre principalele motivații ale turneului, faptul că voi fi membru al clubului pe viață”, a declarat Simona Halep la finalul partidei pentru Eurosport.
”Am lucrat mult pentru a-mi schimba stilul de joc și a câștiga meciuri pe iarbă. Abia aștept să mă întorc la Wimbledon anul viitor. Mulțumesc părinților, familiei, nu aș fi fost aici fără voi. Nu am cuvinte să vă mulțumesc. Îi mulțumesc și lui Darren. Le mulțumesc românilor, domnului Țiriac, care a fost aici special pentru mine. Vă mulțumesc tuturor pentru tot. Este ceva minunat. O să mulțumesc tuturor celor din familia Regală că au fost prezenți aici”, a mai spus Simona Halep, informează site-ul Digi Sport.

When Tony Lip (Mortensen), a bouncer from an Italian-American neighborhood in the Bronx, is hired to drive Dr. Don Shirley (Ali), a world-class Black pianist, on a concert tour from Manhattan to the Deep South, they must rely on “The Green Book” to guide them to the few establishments that were then safe for African-Americans. Confronted with racism, danger—as well as unexpected humanity and humor—they are forced to set aside differences to survive and thrive on the journey of a lifetime.
