Piesa este al treilea single promovat de pe "Songs of Innocence", noul album al formaţiei U2, care a fost lansat oficial în septembrie 2014. Celebrul actor american Woody Harrelson este protagonistul clipului noului single în care apare şi fiica sa, Zoe Harrelson.
Regia videoclipului cântecului "Song For Someone" îi aparţine lui Vincent Haycock. Harrelson joacă rolul unui deţinut ce se întâlneşte imediat după eliberare cu fiica lui pe care nu a mai văzut-o de ani buni.

Trupa rock irlandeză U2 a lansat oficial videoclipul melodiei "Invisible". Cel mai nou clip muzical al formaţiei U2 este unul alb-negru şi a fost filmat într-un hangar al aeroportului din Santa Monica. Regia videoclipului îi aparţine lui Mark Romanek.
Din descărcările piesei de pe iTunes s-au obţinut în 36 de ore peste 3 milioane de dolari. Suma a fost virată de către Bank of America în contul Fondului mondial de luptă împotriva SIDA, tuberculozei şi malariei, a anunţat (RED), printre ai cărui cofondatori se numără Bono, solistul de la U2. Pentru fiecare descărcare gratuită a melodiei, banca a dat câte un dolar cu ocazia SuperBowl, finala Ligii profesioniste de fotbal american, informează Agerpres.

​Formatia U2 a fost numita "Cea mai buna trupa din ultimii 25 de ani", iar Coldplay a primit titlul de "Cea mai buna trupa din lume" in cadrul galei de decernare a premiilor revistei Q. Evenimentul a avut loc luni, in Londra, informeaza billboard.com.

Momente importante ale galei

Artista momentului in UK, Adele, a castigat doua premii: "Cea mai buna cantareata" si "Cel mai bun cantec" (piesa "Rolling in the Deep").

Coldplay a fost declarata "Cea mai buna trupa din lume". In cadrul evenimentului, solistul Chris Martin a declarat ca "U2 este cea mai buna trupa din lume in acest moment. Noi suntem cam de locul sapte".

Noel Gallagher (fost membru Oasis) a fost numit "Q icon". Cu toate acestea, artistul a declarat ca premiul nu se poate compara nici pe departe cu bucuria pe care a trait-o cand echipa sa favorita, Manchester City, a "zdrobit-o" pe rivala Manchester United cu 6-1, duminica. "Nici un premiu nu se poate compara cu asta. A fost cea mai frumoasa zi din viata mea, in afara de nasterea copiilor mei", a declarat Noel.

Au fost oferite 18 premii anul acesta: "Cel mai bun artist" a revenit raperului Tinie Tempah, iar titlul "Next Big Thing" a fost pus artistei Lana Del Ray (cantăreața care "face senzatie" pe internet in aceasta perioada).

Formatia Queen a fost introdusa in Q Hall of Fame, iar Gary Barlow (membru Take That) a primit titlul de Classic Songwriter.

DJ Norman Cook (cunoscut fanilor ca Fat Boy Slim) a primit titlul de "Q Inspiration".
