Dubai welcomed in 2015 with a truly extravagant fireworks display, and you can watch it all here.
The Gulf Arab emirate of Dubai was aiming to break the world record for the largest LED-illuminated facade.
Some 70,000 LED panels wrapped around the world's tallest building, the Burj Khalifa, which draws throngs of thousands of spectators every New Year's Eve for an impressive fireworks display.
Emaar Properties said a team from Guinness World Records monitored the preparations. Last year, Dubai won the title for the world's largest firework display, according to Guinness.

Numai pentru spectacolul pirotehnic, autorităţile din Sydney au cheltuit 750 de mii de dolari, dintr-un buget total de 7,2 milioane de dolari alocat petrecerii de Revelion, potrivit www.digi24.ro.

In Emiratele Arabe Unite, Dubaiul aspira la recordul mondial pentru cea mai mare fatada luminata cu LED-uri, la Burj Khalifa.
Burj Khalifa, cel mai inalt turn din lume, care "zgarie norii" la 828 de metri deasupra pamantului, a fost luminat cu 70.000 de panouri cu LED-uri si isi asteapta locul in Cartea Recordurilor pentru asta, informează stirileprotv.ro.

În noaptea de Revelion, în Dubai au fost trase peste 500.000 de proiectile, din insula artificială Palm Jumeirah şi din The World, un ansamblu de 300 de insule. Dubai a intrat în Cartea Recordurilor prin aceste uimitoare focuri de artificii realizate de 200 de pirotehnişti. Vechiul record mondial a fost stabilit de Kuweit în anul 2011.
